I woke up "early" and headed to a new-to-me gym location: downtown/pier!
It's small, and everyone was older or a meat-head. I don't live in Venice Beach, but it sure felt like it.
I biked for 20 minutes on the stationary bike, which has been foreign to me since I started using the upright bike.
The muscles you work are so different on the two bikes that I really had to work up to the stationary bike. My lower back/booty sweats more. That's always welcome.
I wanted to TurboKick with my BodyPump instructor. She was sick though. Fortunately, her sub was none other than my usual TurboKick instructor. I was glad it was her and not someone else.
My shoes kept slipping and getting low was hard (thanks to the video workout yesterday) so I jumped more today.
I joined the weightlifters downstairs for a quick session.
- Abs on the ball.
- Bicep curls.
- Hammer curls.
- Attempt at chest that hurt my shoulders still!
- Triceps with the pull down machine, which was fruitful.
On the way home, I made a quick pot stop to buy plant-based food enzymes as per my masseuse's suggestion.
I had one before my salmon + goat cheese + pineapple salsa spinach salad.
It's a little personal, but it looks like it will help.
Since I have a whole loaf of bread now, I made myself another PB sandwich.
I picked up a shift today in exchange for next Saturday off. Preferable since 12-4:30 is friendlier than 10:30-3:30.
Other eats:
I'm trying to get more protein in my diet. Funny thing: Live Laugh Eat's Allie just wrote a post on protein intake.
I sampled some hummus from The Hummus Bar & Grill at Whole Foods. So fluffy and creamy. I had it with green beans.
I work out about five to six days a week.I love the elliptical and arc trainer. I am not much of a fan of the bike but I love spin class odd.
ReplyDeleteFor my chest I do about three machines. Until recently I was only doing one machine at my local gym but I bought a personal training session and she showed me three machines. Two machines were chest press types and one was the fly's machine.
I eat some gluten free food and I actually like those foods better but I never tested myself about being gluten intolerant. I do find my digestion is better without the gluten but it is not horrible with the gluten either. Being vegan many products are gluten free as well so it is like a package deal hehe.
