Before my vacation, I was coming up on my 1000th post. Exciting isn't it? Though, I used my blog for personal purposes in the beginning. Now I'm participating in the blogging community through Foodie Penpals, Marvelous in My Monday, Oh How Pinteresting Wednesday, and of course, What I Ate Wednesday.
My eats since I've been back home have been meatless. I'm even watching "Forks Over Knives" before work. My reasons are for my digestion, but I'm totally on board for living healthier and losing a pound here or there.
I'm all over the Kashi GoLean Truly Vanilla. Even though it's everywhere, I've never tried the Kashi brand. And it goes perfectly with [a half-consumed packet of] Justin's Vanilla Almond Butter. I'm allowing myself a packet per day since I can't find them here... and it's good portion control.
Yummy Boulder Canyon veggie chips (like SunChips) from Costco.
Alexia sweet potato fries, of course. Plus, they were on sale for $2! Can you eat these frozen? I saw someone else do it and tried it. Not bad.
And while I was at the store buying those $2 fries, I found Talenti gelato for $3!
Spinach with avocados and mini peppers
Sometimes I'll add Trader Joe's vegetable masala burger. Really good flavor though not really a great source of protein.
My schedule is laid out. It looks like I have a lot to do, but it's not very taxing. :) What does your summer schedule look like?
*I should add I missed [Hip Hop] Hustle and am looking at going to Zumba instead. The class is too far and I wanted too much sleep.
Bonus: I bought my uncle a beer and sake for Father's Day. Not sure if either is good, but the Buddha bottle is cool.
Wait, there's more!
In celebration of my 1000th post, I give to you, a fantastic giveaway! I decided to pick items I've mentioned often on the blog, all of which are snacks!

I love sunflower seed butter because it's easy to spread on pancakes..mmm
ReplyDeleteWhat's your favorite brand? I like Trader Joe's.
DeleteOh wow, great giveaway girly! :) My fave nut butter would be either Justin's Maple Almond Butter or PB&Co White Choc Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe Bee's Knees may be my favorite, but it's more expensive than the rest! Strangest thing - I like Justin's Maple Almond Butter but not their classic nor do I like PB&Co's Mighty Maple.
DeleteAnd I tweeted!
ReplyDeleteJustins almond butter is my FAVORITE! :)
ReplyDeleteTheir classic?
DeleteAnd I tweeted @KiwiFitBunny
ReplyDeleteI love Justin's hazelnut butter
ReplyDeleteSo much better than Nutella. I can't even buy Nutella now!
DeleteI tweeeted it!
ReplyDeletefavorite nut butter is the target brand almond, cashew, peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteI've heard good things about Target's cashew butter but haven't tried them yet. Will have to!
DeleteHi Julie. That really is a tricky one. I suppose i could say my very own chocolate hazelnut butter (just because it makes me super happy knowing i made it) made using Laura from Keeping Healthy Getting Stylish's 'Rawtella' recipe, then again i do like Justin's Chocolate Hazelnut Butter. So, chocolatey hazelnutty-ness i suppose but i'm going to say good ol' fashioned peanut butter. Pretty much any brand. Plain and simple :) on a banana. A winner every time.
ReplyDelete(sorry, major ramble there)
Have you tried Rawtella? I've only purchased it for a Foodie Penpal so I've never had it.
Deletewww.rawtella.com
P.s i tweeted too!
ReplyDeleteFound you through WIAW and then just read that you were in my neck of the woods (I'm close to San Marcos) last week!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite nut butter is almond butter - I buy the Marantha jars from Costco.
I heard somewhere that it's a different formula than the regular jars. Do you think that's true?
DeleteI forgot how much I love the price and taste of the MaraNatha hint of sea salt one.
What an amazing giveaway! My favorite nut butter is raw almond butter but I surely do love them all!
ReplyDeleteTweeted :)
ReplyDeleteawesome giveaway! my favorite nut butter is PB Crave Razzle Dazzle! But I also love plain tahini!
ReplyDeleteReally? I didn't like plain tahini but the Razzle Dazzle was my favorite of the PB Crave.
DeleteI tweeted (@teabagginit)
ReplyDeleteFavorite nutbutter: peanutbutter! I've tried others, but still seem to migrate back to Jif crunchy. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy 1000th post!
Jif > Skippy
DeleteI haven't met a nut butter I don't like...peanut, almond, cashew, almond, pecan, coconut, sunflower, oh wait, thats a seed! Does that count? I love PB2 and Better than Peanut butter for healthier options, but TJs crunchy almond butter is so good!
ReplyDeletePumpkin (seed also)? I like PB2 more than Better than PB. Have you tried the chocolate flavored one?
DeleteOh yes!!! The chocolate is so good. The Better than PB also has a chocolate one and a banana one, but the banana is so hard to find. I really hope PB2 can come out with other variations and maybe ones with other nuts, like almonds?!?!
DeleteI love trader joe's natural crunchy pb!
ReplyDeleteNiiice congrats on the 1000th post Julie! Omgness soooo many good things on here! :D ahhh that pb question is too tough! haha. Can I just say that I love sunflowerseed butter the best?! And then pb and ab are a close 2nd.....but lately I've been loving PBCrave's peanut butter! It's so unique and delicious.
ReplyDeleteI love sunflower butter too! I think almond butter may be my favorite though.
DeleteI just tweeted about it too, Julie! Thank you! BTW love the blueness on here :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite nut butter is PB&Co White Chocolate Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI got a chance to try PB Crave's Coco Bananas and it was amazing, it may be a new favorite nut butter :) But I also really like PB&Co's The Heat is On paired with fresh spinach on a sandwich...so good!
ReplyDeleteI got the Coco Bananas and it was really watery/oily. Did you have that problem? You're crazy with The Heat is On! It's too spicy for me.
DeleteI tweeted: https://twitter.com/j_mosh/status/218452052479717377
ReplyDeleteSo hard to choose! My favorites are Justin's maple almond butter, Blue mountain organics raw cashew, trader joes almond butter, and pb and co dark chocolate wonderful! As you can see, I pretty much live off of but butter;) great post and all of your eats look amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat's my favorite Justin's before I had their vanilla almond. Not sure why it isn't mainstream instead of just a Whole Foods exclusive. :/
DeleteWow, it is amazing that you bought everything on your own! If i got those things, i would keep them to me like some gollum :D
ReplyDeleteMy favorite nut butter would be an almond butter, i have only tried three brands so far and they all were delicious, but Rapunzel might be the best!
I have seen Rapunzel. It's hard to come by. Where do you get yours?
DeleteI love any almond butter and blending it with bits of coconut! :) yum.
ReplyDeleteOh my! Good idea.
Deletealmond butter with cocoa powder in it

Having to pick my favorite nut butter is like asking me to pick my favorite child lol. But if I had to pick it would probably be Trader Joe's Crunchy Almond Butter. I have so many but for some reason that one is the one I always buy. But Justin's Chocolate Hazelnut is a very close second (as you saw i even mixed it with Jello. Yes I have a problem lol)
ReplyDeleteI tweeted!
ReplyDeleteHazelnut butter for sure! Yum! :) Congrats on your 1,000th post, wow - that's an amazing accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! One of my favorite Nut Butters is PB&Co's Cinnamon Raisin Swirl. I haven't bought it in ages though because I tend to polish off those jars quicker than I'd like to admit :-)
ReplyDeletewhite chocolate dreams :D
ReplyDeleteMaranatha Organic Peanut Butter - soooo delicious in Overnight Oats!
