El Moro Canyon Hike & Birthday Giveaway Winner!

Work has been busy but not a big deal. The days are easy now that everything is up and going. Plus, us nighttime employees don't have much setting up to do. The only thing we've really had to worry about was closing.

The nights get chilly so I crave corn on a cob. Roasted, without butter, with hot sauce. :)

One of my co-workers always has this dark chocolate coconut water, and I saw someone else buy it. Tastes like watered down chocolate milk. Yum. Seriously though.

It's keeping me extra hydrated because I'm not able to have water with me at work. :/

Workouts lately include Blogilates' Powerflex workout at home mixed with her other videos.

And today, since I came home late and wanted to sleep in and missed yoga, I went hiking at El Moro Canyon at Crystal Cove State Park in Laguna Hills with my friend-since-1st-grade Peter.

He died going up. I died going down.

We covered about 10+ miles in 3 hours. That's a relatively slow pace, but there were lots of hills.

I didn't have time to rest. I showered, barely got to eat, and went to work.

Breakfasts, as of late: caramelized bananas with oats...

...and Chocolate Covered Katie's Pumpkin Bread in a Bowl, made with Fiber One cereal.

Yes, I did remember to pick the winner of my 12 bars of chocolate birthday giveaway.

Congratulations to Emily from dilloftheday!

What condiments do you like on your corn?
When was the last time you got a sunburn? I really didn't think I would burn today! Mine is on my left shoulder only and hurts a little bit.

  1. That canyon looks amazing! The hills, bushes and sand - like in some movie, or maybe it's because i have never been to America and it seems like something cool :)

    1. It's right next to the beach and you can't even tell! There are telephone lines and homes in the distance.
