Bodybuilders' heaven(s) & carrots

I had a fit today. About going to work. 4.5 hours is .5 more than I'm used to but it was so slow that we closed an hour earlier and I was a happy camper. :)

I didn't get enough sleep for the most part. I went to bed an hour later and woke up only 30 minutes later than my normal wake up time.

I finally went to Gold's Gym. I've had a membership since June thanks to a great Groupon deal but kept going to 24 Hour Fitness.

Gold's is much cleaner and is known for its following of bodybuilders. Just being there makes me think I'll contract huge muscles so I put on my new colorful socks and went.

Before working out, I had a PB & J protein bar because it was easy.

I had my real breakfast after: a hemp waffle and 2 egg whites.

I've worked out at Gold's before, using their free weights and cardio machines. I took my first group class today and it wasn't anything new, just BodyPump.

I didn't go as heavy on squats but really got down low. To make up for it, I went heavier on chest because it was supposed to be an easier track. When triceps came around, I decided to go my normal and that was good enough. My wrists hurt so bad that biceps weren't going to happen much. :/ Fortunately, my legs felt good and I rocked the second leg track with the plyometric squat jumps.

I wanted a nap but my friend Sara found me and we met up at the beach. To observe high schoolers socially. For research/class not because we're creepy.

We caught up and enjoyed the heat.

Then it was off to work for me, and I didn't die.

Tomorrow is a new week and back to the usual schedule. Which means I'll be in 2 classes for 1 hour and 45 minutes each. This is all fine and dandy in 3rd period English but not so rad in 5th period. I suppose I will bring some books and/or study material. Perfect - I won't have to study after school. :)

I dislike carrots, but I bought a bag. I ate some for snack today but need some fresh ideas to make them better. How do you eat your carrots?
