Take 2: Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

I was at it again Tuesday night. One of my students begged me to make browned butter cinnamon chip cookies. Instead, I decided to go the original route with browned butter chocolate chip cookies.

I made the batter the night before and let it sit in the fridge. Before bed, I used a tablespoon and rolled out balls. Let sit overnight and bake in the morning.

I made 3 batches with our mini oven (over a dozen cookies) - 15 minutes each batch.

I baked them while I made breakfast (oatmeal protein pancakes again!) and got ready for the gym.

They sat out cooling while I headed to yoga.

And here they are: Joy the Baker's browned butter chocolate chip cookies!

The best cookies I've ever made.

"Oh my gosh!" was the most common reaction.

I've been exhausted lately. I took a 15 minute nap... in my car, with the windows down before work. 15 minutes is such a short amount of time to fall asleep but it happened and gave me a burst of energy.

We got out late. Ugh, I won't lie - it's annoying. Hopefully I can sleep a little earlier and get my workout in tomorrow - I have no idea what my workout is yet, but it'll be strength-based.

  1. Too yummy to look at on an empty stomach! I don't know if I could leave them to cool all by themselves...you're such a good girl! :D
