WIAW: Not meal planning

This is what happens when I don't plan my meals:

I buy coconut flour and make crepes/pancakes with 2 egg whites and 1 egg + flax milk. Then I proceed to dump whatever I have in the fridge on top: berries, Cool Whip, and applesauce.

I needed food ASAP and aesthetics weren't a big concern.

I'm feeling under the weather still - mostly my throat - and all the yoga and bodyweight training has made my wrists tender. Enter cardio day.
  • Should I go to the gym? No classes close by.
  • Should I run? Gah, I hate running.
  • Maybe the studio has a class? Cancelled?
Okay, let's break out a TurboKick DVD. I did pay $100+ for 11 DVDs and have only opened 4.
I ripped open TurboKick Best of Volume 6, which ended up being a little longer than usual. I wasn't jumping too high but still got down low.

Then I finished Fitnessista's 12 Days of Fitness, an easy little thing to do just for fun and to say I did it.

I still have a few days of break and I'm totally not capitalizing on it. Instead, I went out for a little while. Gorgeous day here in Southern California. Strange but still cold.

I came home with the most logical combo: apple cider vinegar and the best darn gelato ever.

Nothing like a little midday sugar, apple cider vinegar in my water, and apples. Lunch?

Okay, not quite. Real lunch was turkey, hummus, and lettuce wrapped in a low carb, high fiber tortilla.

Dinner was another roll: shrimp and cauliflower with hummus in nori rolls and some coconutty sweet potatoes.

Oops, forgot the rolls. I was getting too hungry.

What's your go to meal when you haven't planned anything?

  2. Roasted veggies (eggplant, sweet potato and squash) and maybe some cubed TJ tofu. I'm quite exciting. Not ;)

    1. I do a lot of sweet potato but not very much eggplant. I'll have to give it a shot.

  3. When I haven't planned anything I'll usually resort to cereal or greek yogurt. I need to think of some better back-ups! The shrimp/cauliflower/hummus/nori sounds so intriguing...
